Right in the heart of Nolita, you’ll find Café Mulberry, a small, tranquil spot that shares its name with the street it sits on. It was surprisingly easy to get a reservation for a noon brunch, and we all loved the cozy, French-inspired atmosphere.

I ordered the quiche du jour, filled with leeks, chives, and other aromatic greens. It was good but I couldn’t stop eyeing the table next to us, who went for my second choice: the croque monsieur. Safe to say, I felt a little regret… but honestly, it just gave me the perfect excuse to come back.

Pro tip: If you’re not too hungry, Café Mulberry also has a to-go nook with coffee, matcha, tea, and pastries.
